FAQs

DO I NEED A PARTNER TO SIGN UP TO THE WORKSHOP?

Most definitely not! We tend to have a 50/50 spilt of people signing up as couples versus individuals, we rota regularly during the class to ensure everyone dances with everyone. We also ensure spaces are booked in advance to make sure we have an equal lead to follow ratio

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Be prepared to get warm! Wear whatever you feel comfortable in and can move about easily in. Layers are recommended so you can layer up or down as we get going. You ideally want smooth soled shoes as both men and women will be moving around the floor, and spinning and turning. Ladies flats are ideal, useless you are more comfortable in heels in which case, low, sturdy heels are best.

CAN I DROP INTO ANY OF THE WORKSHOPS OR SHOULD THEY BE DONE IN SEQUENCE?

Each workshop is designed to work as a stand alone class meaning you can turn up to any of them at any point in the rotation. Spaces on the workshops, however, must be booked in advance. For anyone slightly nervous about starting or who has never danced a step we recommend starting with SINGLE TIME as this is the easiest foundational footwork and can be built on with the additional workshops

DO I NEED TO HAVE ATTENDED THE BEGINNERS' WORKSHOPS TO COME TO THE DROP IN CLASSES?

If you have no prior dancing and/or lindy hop experience we recommend you attend the beginners' workshops before coming to the Wednesday improvers & intermediates drop in classes. This means you'll be prepared with the foundations of the dance. Our drop in classes are not true beginners' standard and presume some prior knowledge of the dance.
